Da Nang Homeschool Community Membership Structure

What Membership Means

Joining the Da Nang Homeschool Community is not just signing up for activities — it is choosing to be part of an intentional village of families building a life and an education together in Da Nang, Vietnam. Membership is application-based, participation-focused, and built on shared values.

Every member family is part of the village. The tier you join under reflects when you found us — not your value to the community. Every family matters equally.

Membership Tiers

🏡 Village Elder — $40/year Founding members, grandfathered at original rate.

🏡 Village Founder — $50/year Early members, grandfathered at early rate.

🏡 Village Family — $127/year

Prices increase as the community grows, programming expands, and new groups are added. Current members are never moved to a higher rate without notice and conversation.

What Every Member Receives

All membership tiers receive the same benefits regardless of what they pay. Being a Village Elder or Village Founder is honored — not penalized.

Annual Membership Kit — $25

Every active membership includes one annual kit per membership purchased. The kit contains one DNHS t-shirt (refreshed yearly) and one activity planner (new edition every year). The kit is priced at $25 USD and applies to all membership tiers. Families who do not wish to receive the physical kit that year may opt out at renewal. No refund or credit is issued in place of the kit.

Also included with every active membership:

• Pinned kids cafes map — curated and updated regularly • Weekly reminders — so your family never misses what's happening • Monthly activity calendar — sent at the start of every month • Yearly community photoshoot — professional and fun for the whole family • Yearly music video — a celebration of your community year • Annual Christmas gala — the community celebration of the year

Access to:

• Private DNHS WhatsApp community • Weekly clubs and monthly events • Volunteer opportunities and points program • Approved facilitator workshops at DNHS member rates • Kids Market and leadership opportunities for children • Application to become a parent facilitator

Membership Groups

DNHS keeps each group intentionally small — a maximum of 20 to 25 families per group. As the community grows, new groups are added on different days rather than overcrowding existing ones.

Every group receives the same benefits, the same standards, and the same community culture. Being in a different group simply means a different schedule — not a different experience.

How Membership Works

Step 1 — Application Families apply through the DNHS website. Not all applications are accepted. We look for alignment in values, commitment, and lifestyle — for both sides.

Step 2 — Review & Meeting If aligned, families are invited to a one-on-one meeting and playdate so we can get to know each other before committing.

Step 3 — Trial Phase Accepted families attend community activities during a trial period to make sure it is a good fit.

Step 4 — Membership Setup If it is a good fit, families receive a membership link and complete payment to activate their membership.

Step 5 — Community Access Active members receive access to the WhatsApp community, monthly calendar, and all membership benefits.

Renewal

• Every family renews on their own anniversary date — the date they originally joined DNHS • Renewal reminders are sent in advance so no family is caught off guard • Membership that lapses and is not renewed within 30 days loses its tier rate — rejoining families pay the current new member rate • Annual memberships are non-refundable once activated

Mid-Year Members

Families who join mid-year pay the full annual membership fee regardless of when they join. Their renewal date is set to their personal anniversary date from the month they joined.

Grandfathered Members

Village Elders and Village Founders are honored for being part of DNHS from the beginning. Their rates are locked in as long as their membership remains active and in good standing.

If a grandfathered membership lapses for more than 30 days the grandfathered rate is forfeited. Rejoining families pay the current Village Family rate.

Membership Expectations

Membership is a two-way commitment. DNHS commits to providing a safe, organized, and enriching community. Members commit to:

• Participating consistently — at least one weekly activity • Being present and involved during activities • Contributing to a respectful and positive environment • Upholding the DNHS Community Guidelines • Paying membership fees on time

DNHS reserves the right to remove any family whose participation or conduct does not align with community standards. Removed families are not entitled to a refund.

Pausing Membership

Life happens. If a family needs to pause participation temporarily they are encouraged to communicate with DNHS directly. Pauses are handled case by case and are never guaranteed. Membership fees are not paused or refunded during an absence.

A Note on Pricing

DNHS membership fees cover the real costs of running this community — administration, coordination, physical membership items, events, and the time and care that goes into making this village work. As DNHS grows and programming expands, pricing will increase for new members. Current members are always rewarded for their loyalty and commitment.

If you have questions about your rate or renewal, please reach out directly — we are always happy to talk.

By completing membership payment you confirm you have read and understood the DNHS Membership Structure and agree to the Community Guidelines.
