Da Nang Homeschool Community Facilitator Agreement
Effective 2026 | maiabundant.com/danang-homeschool-community
What Is a DNHS Facilitator
A DNHS Facilitator is an independent educator, specialist, or community member approved by DNHS to run a paid workshop or program within the community. Facilitators are not DNHS employees or volunteers. They operate as independent service providers who have been given access to the DNHS community under the terms of this agreement.
Approval Process
No facilitator may announce, promote, or collect payment for any workshop or program until the following have been reviewed and approved in writing by DNHS:
• Workshop topic and format
• Proposed venue
• Pricing for families
• Scheduled dates
Approval is at the sole discretion of DNHS. Being a community member does not automatically qualify someone as an approved facilitator.
Membership
All facilitators must hold an active DNHS membership while running programs inside the community.
Membership
All facilitators must hold an active DNHS membership while running programs inside the community.
Facilitator Membership Fees
Outside facilitator (not a current member) — $127/year
Parent facilitator (active community member) — $40/year
The parent facilitator rate is a flat discounted rate offered as recognition for contributing to the community. It applies for as long as the facilitator remains active within DNHS.
Membership fees and facilitator access fees are two separate costs. One covers community membership. The other covers the right to run a paid program inside DNHS.
Community Access Fee
In exchange for access to the DNHS community, its channels, and its families, facilitators pay a non-refundable community access fee:
Program Fees
Ongoing monthly program — $25/month
One-time workshop — $10 per session
Short multi-session course — $15 per series
• Fee is paid to DNHS before the workshop begins or at the start of each month
• Fee is non-negotiable and non-refundable regardless of attendance
• Low attendance or family cancellations do not affect the fee owed to DNHS
• This fee is separate from and in addition to the annual membership fee
Pricing & Community Discount
Facilitators set their own pricing subject to DNHS approval before anything is announced to families.
• DNHS reserves the right to flag pricing that is inappropriate for the community
• DNHS families must always receive a better rate than any price the facilitator charges outside the community
• Facilitators may not increase prices without notifying and receiving written approval from DNHS first
• Any discounts, deals, or payment plans must be clearly communicated to families before they pay
DNHS Members Only
Workshops and programs run under DNHS are for enrolled DNHS families only.
Facilitators may not:
• Open sessions to outside students without explicit written approval from DNHS
• Use DNHS events to recruit students for programs happening outside the community
• Promote outside services to DNHS families without prior approval
• Use their position inside DNHS to build an independent business at the community’s expense
Facilitators who wish to occasionally invite outside students must request approval from DNHS each time. This is never assumed.
Venue
Facilitators may suggest a venue. All venues must be approved by DNHS before booking to ensure they are appropriate for homeschool families.
Facilitators may not book, promote, or confirm a venue under the DNHS name without written approval.
Facilitators are responsible for:
• Leaving the venue clean and in the same condition as found
• Any damage caused during their session
• Communicating venue details clearly to attending families in advance
Payment Models
Facilitators must choose one payment model and communicate it clearly to families before anyone pays. Two models are available:
Drop-In — Pay on the Day
• Families pay upon arrival, no advance commitment required
• No-shows are the facilitator’s business risk — DNHS is not responsible for low attendance
• If the facilitator cancels after families arrive, a full refund must be issued the same day
• Facilitators cannot chase families for payment after the fact
Prepaid — Pay in Advance
• Families pay before the session or month begins
• The following cancellation rules apply once payment is made:
Cancellation & Refund Policy
Family cancels 48hrs or more before — Full refund or credit toward next session
Family cancels less than 48hrs before — No refund, no makeup
Family no-show — No refund, no makeup
Facilitator cancels — Full refund or makeup within the same month
Makeup Classes
• If a facilitator offers makeup classes this must be stated clearly before families pay
• Makeup classes must be completed within the same month as the cancelled session
• If a makeup cannot be arranged within the same month a full refund must be issued
• Facilitators cannot decide makeup policies after a cancellation has occurred — terms must be set upfront
Business Expenses
Facilitators are fully responsible for all costs associated with running their program. This includes but is not limited to:
• Teaching materials and supplies
• Resources and equipment
• Any enrichment activities or giving back to students
• End of program events or celebrations
DNHS does not fund, subsidize, or contribute to the operational costs of any paid workshop or program. Facilitators may not request financial contributions from DNHS or its members to cover business expenses.
If a facilitator chooses to reinvest in their students through rewards or celebrations, this comes from the revenue they have generated — not from the community.
Volunteer Hours
Running a paid facilitated program does not count as volunteer hours and does not earn points toward the DNHS volunteer recognition program.
If a facilitator separately contributes their time to a free community activity — such as helping at a community event or running a one-off free session — those specific contributions may earn volunteer points at DNHS’s discretion.
The rule is simple:
• Paid work = facilitator relationship
• Free contribution = volunteer points
• Never both for the same activity
Child Supervision
By default, parents and guardians are responsible for their own children at all times during facilitator-led sessions.
If a facilitator chooses to offer a supervised session where parents may leave:
• This must be clearly stated in the program description before families sign up
• A parent consent form must be signed before the child attends any supervised session
• The facilitator must maintain a safe adult-to-child ratio as agreed with DNHS before the program begins
• The facilitator takes full responsibility for the safety and wellbeing of all children in their care during supervised sessions
DNHS is not liable for incidents occurring during facilitator-led sessions.
Use of the DNHS Name
Facilitators may not:
• Use the DNHS name, logo, or reputation in any outside marketing without written approval
• Represent themselves as DNHS staff or leadership
• Promote outside programs or services to DNHS families without approval
• Use their access to DNHS to grow an independent business outside the community
Any approved use of the DNHS name must clearly represent the facilitator as an independent provider operating within the community — not as a representative of DNHS.
Conduct & Community Standards
Facilitators are expected to uphold the DNHS Community Guidelines at all times. This includes:
• Communicating respectfully with all families and children
• Maintaining a safe, inclusive, and appropriate environment during sessions
• Handling complaints or concerns directly and professionally
• Notifying DNHS immediately of any serious incidents
Facilitators represent the DNHS community while running their sessions. Conduct that damages the community’s culture or reputation will result in immediate removal from DNHS.
If This Agreement Ends
Either party may end this agreement with 14 days written notice.
If the agreement ends:
• Any sessions already paid for by families must be completed or fully refunded by the facilitator
• The DNHS community access fee for the current month is non-refundable
• The facilitator must immediately stop using the DNHS name in any promotion
• Membership fees are non-refundable
DNHS reserves the right to terminate this agreement immediately and without notice if a facilitator’s conduct puts children, families, or the community at risk.
